Montenegro to close Chapter 21 in Brussels tomorrow

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Prime Minister Milojko Spajic will lead the Montenegrin delegation at the Intergovernmental Conference between Montenegro and the European Union in Brussels tomorrow, where negotiating Chapter 21 – Trans-European Networks, part of Cluster Four, will be closed.
The Prime Minister’s Office said in a press release that the Trans-European Networks policy is aimed at improving and developing transport, energy, and telecommunications systems in line with European standards.
“Holding the Intergovernmental Conference and the provisional closing of Chapter 21 confirms Montenegro’s commitment to implementing comprehensive reforms and sends an important signal of the European Union’s confidence in the progress achieved,” the press release reads.
The Intergovernmental Conference will be followed by a press conference with Spajic, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, and Cyprus’ Deputy Minister for European Affairs Marilena Raouna.
The visit to Brussels will also be an opportunity for meetings with officials of European institutions, and Spajic will participate in the European External Action Service conference “From Insight to Impact (FIMI Conference 2026)”.
The delegation led by Spajic will include Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ervin Inrahimovic, Minister of European Affairs Maida Gorcevic, Minister of Maritime Affairs Filip Radulovic, and coordinator of the Ministry of Transport and Chief Negotiator Predrag Zenovic.
