Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – In cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism, the National Tourism Organization (NTO)is participating in ITB Berlin, which is an important opportunity to further strengthen Montenegro’s position on the German-speaking market.

ITB Berlin, which this year marks its 60th anniversary, is the major global B2B event in the tourism sector, bringing together representatives of institutions, organizations, and tourism businesses from more than 170 countries worldwide.

According to the organizers, around 5,800 exhibitors took part in last year’s fair, with more than 100,000 visits recorded, confirming its key role in shaping modern tourism trends and developing international partnerships.

Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordic said that the German market holds a special place and is among the most important outbound markets for Montenegro.

“Last year, Germany ranked fourth in terms of the number of overnight stays by foreign tourists in Montenegro, with a 4.6 percent share, confirming the steady interest of German guests in our destination,” Kordić stated.

NTO Director Ana Tripkovic Markovic said that ITB Berlin, which opened on Tuesday and runs until tomorrow, is the most important global platform for networking and positioning destinations.

Montenegro’s national booth will feature NTO’s strategic partners: Air Montenegro, Budvanska Rivijera Hotel Group, and Montenegro Stars Hotel Group, along with the local tourism boards of Bar, Budva, Herceg Novi, and Podgorica.
