Montenegro reiterates its commitment to being part of modern European trends

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – By joining the regional programme of eco-industrial parks, Montenegro clearly confirms its intention to be part of modern European trends, not just declaratively, but through concrete projects and measurable results, said Minister of Finance Novica Vukovic.

Speaking at the event Eco-Industrial Parks, held today at the Hilton hotel, Vuković said he was pleased to confirm the continuity and strengthening of Montenegro’s cooperation with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), with strong support from the European Union for the country’s reform processes.

“This initiative is not just a technical project; it is also a political message. A message that Montenegro firmly chooses sustainable development, modern industry, and European standards as the foundation of its future,” Vukovic said.

According to him, the eco-industrial parks initiative marks a new development paradigm for the Western Balkans.

He said that the partnership between IFC and the European Union, with financial support from the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF), paves the way for the transformation of the region’s industry toward a green, competitive, and responsible economy.
