Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Minister of Tourism and Chairperson of the UN Tourism Commission for Europe, Simonida Kordic, is participating in a meeting of the UN Tourism Committee on Tourism and Sustainability in Zimbabwe.

“Montenegro, which chairs the UN Tourism Commission for Europe, has a special role and responsibility at this summit to represent European member states in decision-making and planning for this year’s International Year of Sustainable and Resilient Tourism,” Kordic said in a press release.

With its high status within the UN system, Montenegro is enhancing its international reputation and tourism visibility, which further contributes to attracting investment and increasing the number of visitors.

“It is particularly significant that this year Montenegro, together with the UNWTO, will host the International Ministerial and Investment Forum of Europe and Asia, further positioning itself as a relevant platform for cooperation in the field of tourism, which lays the foundation for more successful and profitable tourist seasons,” Kordic said.
