Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – It was concluded at the annual Economic and Financial Dialogue between the European Union and regional partners that Montenegro continues to record steady economic progress while simultaneously implementing demanding reforms.
The Ministry of Finance announced that, in conditions of global uncertainty, Montenegro has been recognized as a reliable and credible partner that manages to preserve macroeconomic stability while accelerating European integration.
The adopted Joint Conclusions recognize realistic projections of Montenegro’s economic growth, which, after 2.7 percent last year, is stabilizing at around three percent in the coming period, alongside an expected recovery in exports and tourism.
At the event, attended by State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance Milica Adzic, particular emphasis was placed on progress in the digitalization of tax administration, strengthening the governance of state-owned enterprises, and accession to the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), which is already bringing direct benefits to citizens and businesses.
At the same time, EU recommendations further encourage Montenegro to continue fiscal consolidation, strengthen fiscal rules, and implement structural reforms that will boost the economy and accelerate convergence with the European Union.
