Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Representatives of the National Tourism Organization (NTO), Airports of Montenegro and the national carrier Air Montenegro participated in the international event Routes Europe 2026, which concluded today in the Italian city of Rimini.

“The event brings together leading European airlines, airports, tourism organizations and decision-makers in the fields of air transport and air route development,” the National Tourism Organization (NTO) said in a press release.

During the three-day event, the NTO representative held more than 20 meetings with representatives of airlines, tour operators and travel agencies from Montenegro’s key outbound markets, with the aim of improving the destination’s air connectivity and strengthening cooperation in promoting Montenegro on the international market.

According to the press release, NTO presented its public calls pertaining to partnerships with tour operators and travel agencies in promoting Montenegro as a tourist destination, as well as support for improving organized air arrivals through joint marketing campaigns with tour operators.

Particular focus was placed on the possibilities for implementing joint promotional campaigns, introducing new air routes, increasing the number of rotations and extending flight periods to Montenegro, particularly from Western European markets.
