Podgorica, (MINA) - Montenegro and the United Kingdom (UK) maintain strong partnership within NATO and remain committed to further strengthening their traditionally good and substantive bilateral relations, it was assessed in the conversation between the officials of the two countries.

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ervin Ibrahimovic, met on Wednesday with the Permanent Under-Secretary at the UK Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oliver Robbins, who is paying a visit in Montenegro, as part of a regional tour.

“The UK is a reliable friend of Montenegro and an important partner in strengthening our democratic and institutional capacities”, said Ibrahimovic.

Robbins, according to the press release, emphasized the importance of Montenegro’s role in preserving stability and security of the Western Balkans, and reaffirmed the UK’s continued support for Montenegro’s European path.
