London, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Montenegro has been ranked among the top destinations emerging as safe options for tourists amid tensions and conflict in the Middle East.

According to the British newspaper The Sun, the price comparison website TravelSupermarket found that British tourists are returning to reliable European destinations, while increasingly also considering more distant parts of the world.

In Montenegro’s case, online searches have increased by 122 percent.

“This tiny Balkan country on the shores of the Adriatic has so much to offer, from beautiful beaches to sleepy medieval villages and dramatic mountain scenery,” the article reads.

Alongside Montenegro, the list also includes Sardinia, Mallorca, Bodrum, Tuscany, the Dominican Republic, Croatia, and California.
