Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The average net salary in Montenegro amounted to nearly €1,030 in, 0.4 percent more than in December 2025.

According to the Statistical Office, the average net salary increased by 2.2 percent compared to last year’s corresponding period. 

The average gross salary reached €1,230 in January.

“Given that, compared with December 2025, the consumer prices increased by 0.1 percent in January, the real wages in Montenegro rose by 0.3 percent in this period,” Monstat said in a press release. 

In January, average net salaries increased in the fields of other services, professional, scientific and technical activities, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, electricity and gas supply and air conditioning, administrative and supporting services, healthcare and social welfare, water supply, wastewater management, wholesale and retail trade, maintenance of motor vehicles and motorcycles, real estate, art, entertainment and recreation, transport and warehousing, processing industry, and civil engineering, public and information and communications.

In the same period, average net salaries decreased in the fields of financial and insurance services, administration and defence: mandatory social insurance, education, accommodation and food services, mining and quarrying.
