Ministry working on closing three core chapters

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Ministry of Economic Development is working daily on aligning with European standards in order to successfully close negotiating chapters related to the free movement of goods, competition, and consumer and health protection, said Minister Nik Gjeloshaj.

 

“We are working every day on full alignment with EU standards and completing the regulatory framework so that we can successfully close negotiating Chapters 1, 8, and 28,” Gjeloshaj said in a press release.

 

On Friday, the Parliament adopted three legislative proposals of importance for Montenegro’s European path, prepared by the Ministry of Economic Development.

 

According to the press release, the adopted proposals include amendments to the Law on Technical Requirements for Products and Conformity Assessment, the Law on Standardization, and the Law on Procedures for Compensation of Damages Caused by Violations of Market Competition.
