Podgorica, (MINA) - Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic said that his visit to Estonia was extremely successful, emphasizing that the talks in Tallinn confirmed and strengthened Estonia’s support for Montenegro’s European path.

Summarizing the visit, he said that during the two-day stay, he had substantive meetings with senior Estonian officials on the country’s European integration, reforms, regional opportunities and strengthening societal resilience.

“I am pleased to announce that Prime Minister of Estonia, on behalf of Estonia, will attend the EU-Western Balkans Summit on June 5 in Montenegro. I think it is very important”, said Milatovic.

He pointed out that Estonia is a supporter of reforms and that as long as Montenegro consistently advances on its reform path and fully aligns its foreign policy with the EU policy, it will have one of its most important partners in that country.

According to Milatovic, the importance of strengthening society’s resilience to external factors, as well as deepening cooperation in digital transformation and education, in which Estonia is one of the European and global leaders, was particularly emphasized.
