Podgorica, (MINA) – Security is no longer the responsibility of one sector, and therefore the response to challenges must be comprehensive, coordinated and based on knowledge, said President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic.

According to the press release from his office, Milatovic participated in the third International Conference of Montenegrin Security Managers “The Future of Security: A Common Response”.

He pointed out the importance of cooperation, responsibility and strengthening of overall social resilience in addressing modern security challenges.

According to Milatovic, this year’s conference carries additional weight as it comes at a time when Montenegro assumes the chairmanship of the Corporate Security Association of Southeast Europe, which confirms its credibility and responsibility in the wider region.

He also pointed to the complexity of modern security threats and added that a comprehensive approach is needed.

Milatovic further emphasized that the key to success lies in the strong cooperation among all social actors and a functional security system.
