Podgorica, (MINA) – Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic said that his visit to Cyprus will be another opportunity to send an important message that Montenegro is ready and is willing to become the 28th EU member state by 2028.

According to the press release from his office, Milatovic arrived in Cyprus, where he will pay a working visit at the invitation of Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides.

“The President’s visit to Cyprus comes at a time when Cyprus chairs over the Council of the EU and therefore significantly influences the shaping of European priorities”, the press release said.

It added that Milatovic would use the visit to send an important message regarding Montenegro’s European path.

“This will be another opportunity for me to send an important message that Montenegro is ready and willing to become the 28th EU member state by 2028”, Milatovic said.
