Podgorica, (MINA) - Montenegro is a reliable partner in a rapidly changing world, Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic said in Tokyo, adding that even a small country can ensure stability through consistent policies and strong partnerships.

According to the press release by his office, Milatovic delivered a lecture at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, attended by more than 400 students, as part of his official visit to Japan.

He assessed that the international order, established after the Second World War, is in crisis.

Milatovic said that the world is changing rapidly, and that “this moment is reminiscent of an interregnum, in which the old order is weakening, while the new one has not yet been formed”.

Speaking about Montenegro’s foreign policy course, Milatovic emphasized that even a small country can ensure stability through consistent policy and strong partnerships.

“Montenegro knows where it belongs. Our choice is clear and based on the values ​​of democracy, international law and cooperation”, said Milatovic.

He pointed out that Montenegro and Japan share a commitment to the principles of international law and stability, adding that such partnerships are becoming increasingly important in global context.
