Podgorica, (MINA) - Investing in the early childhood development is an investment in a healthier, stronger and more prosperous future for the entire society, said President of Montenegro Jakov Milatovic.

According to the press release from his office, Milatovic visited the Center for Early Development within the Clinical Center of Montenegro (KCCG), where he was briefed in detail on the work of the professional team and support programs for children with developmental difficulties and their families.

During the visit, Milatovic spoke with the KCCG Medical Director Djordjije Krnjevic, director of the Center for Early Development Iva Ivanovic, as well as with doctors and other experts who provide daily support to the youngest patients.

“A special emphasis is placed on the importance of early recognition of developmental difficulties and timely, continuous intervention, which is key to the optimal development of the child”, the press release says.

During the visit, the need to improve the spatial and technical capacities of the Center was pointed out, including the provision of adequate facilities that would enable more accessible and effective work with children and their families.
