Podgorica, (MINA) – Russia has once again violated international humanitarian law by deliberately targeting civilian infrastructure, including apartment buildings, schools and shopping centers, in attacks aimed at terrorizing civilians, said Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA).
In a post on the X social network, the Ministry wrote that Montenegro strongly condemns the brutal Russian attacks against Kyiv and other Ukrainian cities carried on Saturday night.
It is emphasized that such unacceptable conduct must stop immediately.
“Montenegro once again calls upon the Russian Federation to cease its indiscriminate and criminal attacks against civilians and to engage meaningfully in negotiations”, the press release states.
The MFA further adds that Montenegro strongly supports all efforts by allies and partners aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace for Ukraine, as well as ensuring accountability for those responsible for these attacks.
“Montenegro remains steadfast in its principled political, military, and humanitarian support for Ukraine for as long as necessary”, the MFA concludes.
