Podgorica, (MINA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MVP) has called on Montenegrin citizens to refrain from traveling to Iran, Israel, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Kuwait and Bahrain until further notice due to the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East.
The MFA said that it is continuously monitoring the developments and remains in constant contact with relevant international and local partners, as well as with competent diplomatic and consular missions, with the aim of providing timely information and protecting the interests of Montenegrin citizens.
According to the Ministry’s press release, the citizens of Montenegro who are currently in the listed countries are advised to remain calm and act cautiously and responsibly.
In light of the temporary suspensions and restrictions in air traffic in part of the Middle East, the Ministry advises travelers to stay in touch with airlines to receive timely updates on changes to flight schedules and possible alternative travel itineraries.
