Podgorica, (MINA) – Officers of Interpol Podgorica successfully extradited on Thursday evening Montenegrin citizen D.F. (43), a member of an organized criminal group, from Montenegro, the Police Administration announced.
It is stated that the extradition was carried out by police officers of NCB Interpol Podgorica FAST team for targeted searches, with the assistance of members of the Special Police Unit.
“The Interpol Podgorica has issued a red notice for this individual by order of the High Court in Podgorica, to secure his presence in criminal proceedings against him on suspicion of creating a criminal organization and unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotic drugs”, the press release says.
The police recalled that D.F. was located and arrested in Barcelona in June last year, as part of a coordinated international operation conducted through close cooperation between FAST teams and the exchange of operational and intelligence data between the competent authorities of Montenegro and Spain.
“The extradited individual will be brought before the High Court in Podgorica by Interpol Podgorica officers for further proceedings”, the police said.
