Podgorica, (MINA) - Montenegrin national and a member of an organized criminal group, K.D., was arrested in Moscow on Tuesday on a warrant issued by Interpol Podgorica, the Police Administration stated.

The police said that Interpol Podgorica issued a red international notice for K.D. to secure his presence in criminal proceedings on suspicion of forming a criminal organization and unauthorized production, possession and distribution of narcotics. 

The Police adds that the arrest of K.D. was preceded by an intensive exchange of operational and intelligence data between the officers of the Targeted Search Group – FAST Montenegro and the Russian Federation law enforcement services, with the support of the Organized Crime Unit of the Interpol General Secretariat in Lyon.

The police said that there will be further communication between the judicial authorities of Montenegro and Russia in order to extradite K.D.
