Podgorica, (MINA) - Claims by certain non-European circles that France will slow Montenegro’s EU accession are not based on real bilateral relations, the Office of Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandic announced, adding that this is confirmed by a letter from the Speaker of the French National Assembly, Yael Braun-Pivet.

According to the press release, Mandic received a letter from Braun-Pivet in which she expressed readiness to further strengthen cooperation between the two parliaments, especially in the context of Montenegro’s European path.

It was added that Braun Pivet welcomed previous communication between the secretaries-general of the two institutions, aimed at the development of technical cooperation between the parliamentary services.

“The French side, as announced, will send a technical mission of National Assembly officials to Montenegro, in order to precisely define the area of ​​future cooperation and specific joint activities”, Mandic’s cabinet said.
