Mandic: Martyrdom of Yugoslav Army soldiers and officers will never be forgotten

Podgorica, (MINA) – The martyrdom of the soldiers and officers of the Yugoslav Army during the NATO bombing will never be forgotten, said Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandic.

Mandic laid wreaths on Tuesday at the “National Hero Milovan Saranovic” military barracks in Danilovgrad and “Vojvoda Marko Miljanov Popovic” barracks in Podgorica, paying tribute, according to the Parliament’s press release, to innocent victims and heroes who defended the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia during the NATO bombing.

The press release adds that the wreath laid in Danilovgrad was dedicated to the first victim of the NATO bombing, young soldier Sasa Stajic, as well as to all the heroes who gave their lives in defense of the homeland.

“Mandic spoke with the family of Stajic, emphasizing that his martyrdom, as well as that of all soldiers and officers of the Yugoslav Army, has not been and will never be forgotten”, the press release said.
