Mandic: Closer cooperation among small countries key to their stronger voice internationally

Podgorica, (MINA) - A stronger voice and a more visible role for small European countries in the international community can only be secured through their closer cooperation, said Parliament Speaker Andrija Mandic during his visit to Monaco.

According to the press release from the Montenegrin Parliament, Mandic is on an official visit to Monaco at the invitation of the President of the National Council Tomas Brezzo.

The press release stated that the two speakers emphasized the importance of cooperation between small states, with special emphasis on the overall relations between Montenegro and Monaco.

“Although they have different development dynamics, the two countries share numerous similarities, first of all the fact that they are stable European states that seek to bring other small countries together around common values, but also to protect their interests in a world dominated by big powers”, the press release said.

Mandic also expressed belief that in the coming period the general secretaries of the parliaments will prepare a memorandum on cooperation between the Parliament of Montenegro and the National Council of the Principality of Monaco.

“It is crucial that we continue the process of bringing together small European countries, because this is the only way to ensure a stronger voice and a more visible place within the broader international community, especially in these turbulent times”, said Mandic.
