Podgorica, (MINA) - Ticket leader of the “For the Future of Niksi” (ZBNK) Marko Kovacevic was re-elected to the position of the President of the Municipality of Niksic.

The decision was made by the Niksic Municipal Assembly, with 22 councilors, from the ranks of the ruling coalition, voting in favor of Kovacevic’s appointment, and 16 opposition councilors against it.

According to the coalition agreement, the position of the vice president of the municipality will be allocated to the Democrats, with the final decision to be made by the assembly at a later date.

Niskic Municipal Assembly was constituted on Monday, when Milica Lalatovic Zizic, the Europe Now Movement (PES) official, was elected to the position of an Assembly Chair, while the mandates of the new councilors were verified at the previous session on May 27.
