Podgorica, Berlin, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Montenegro views investors as long-term partners in destination development, not merely as a source of capital, said Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordic.
Kordic, who also serves as President of the UN Tourism Commission for Europe of the World Tourism Organization, participated in the UN Tourism Ministerial Summit in Berlin.
In her address, she said that strong connections, partnerships, and international cooperation are key prerequisites for the sustainable and resilient development of modern tourism.
“In today’s globally interconnected world, no destination can succeed in isolation. Connections and cooperation are the foundation of modern tourism, as they enable knowledge exchange, market stability, and a joint response to global challenges,” Kordic said.
She concluded that investments in tourism do not represent mere capital, but rather imply a partnership between the state, investors, and local communities, based on trust and shared goals.
