Podgorica, (MINA) - Journalist and host of the TV program Nacisto, Petar Komnenic, gave a statement to the police as a citizen regarding communication he had during the live broadcast with a person who identified himself as Milos Medenica, the Vijesti portal reports.
During Thursday’s program, hosted by Komnenic and attended by Interior Minister Danilo Saranovic and other guests, an individual claiming to be Milos Medenica called Komnenic’s personal phone.
Speaking to reporters about his visit to the police station, Komnenic said that he was not detained, but that three inspectors approached him after the program ended.
“They asked me to go to the station with them and give a statement regarding the circumstances surrounding the communication with Milos Medenica, for whom it is yet to be determined whether he is a real person or not”, said Komnenic.
He stated that he repeated to the police what he had already said during the show.
Komnenic said that he offered to provide access to the communication, but that he did not want to hand over his phone.
“That is, everything that I already showed in front of the cameras and that I showed to the Minister of the Interior”, he said.
“I regret that the Minister of the Interior did not allow us to record the conversation with the person who introduced himself as Milos Medenica, because I believe that recording would have helped to determine whether it was a bot or a real person. It would have enabled potential expert analysis, I think it would have benefited the investigation. We did not have that opportunity for reasons I don’t need to explain”, said Komnenic.
