Jakov Milatovic nominates Stevan Gajevic as a Fiscal Council member 

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic has nominated Stevan Gajevic for membership in the Fiscal Council of Montenegro.

 

Milatovic submitted to Parliament a proposal for the appointment of a member of the Fiscal Council, in which, following interviews with candidates who met the legal requirements, he nominated Gajevic for membership in the important independent body.

 

Gajevic holds a master’s degree in economics from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro. 

 

He has many years of experience in the financial sector, beginning with his first professional engagements at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where he worked in the former department for economic crime control. 

 

He later continued his professional career in the banking sector.

 

Since 2014, he has been actively working as a court expert for the judiciary and prosecution service, as well as in property and capital valuation. During his career as a financial forensic expert, he has worked on more than 450 expert assessments and around 120 valuations. 

 

He has also provided financial consulting services for several companies, as well as public enterprises and local administrations.

 

From July 2022 to November 2023, he served as State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, where, among other responsibilities, he was in charge of budget planning.

 

He is the founder of the Institute for Economic Consulting, which currently has 20 members, and he also regularly comments in the media on current economic developments.
