Podgorica (MINA) – The parliamentary International Affairs and Diaspora Committee has issued a positive opinion on the proposal to appoint Dragana Scepanovic as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Montenegro to the Council of Europe.
Committee Chair Dusko Stjepovic said that the opinion will be forwarded to the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatovic, who will complete the procedure with the adoption of a decree of appointment and the signing of the letters of credence.
Scepanovic, who was nominated for the position by the Government in January, told the Committee session that during her 18 years of service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs she had served several terms as Director of the Directorate for the United Nations, and that she currently holds the position of Director of the Directorate for the EU Common Foreign and Security Policy.
