Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Tax, sanitary and labour inspectors carried out a coordinated operation in Podgorica targeting delivery services, during which 19 irregularities were identified and 36 misdemeanor orders were issued, with total fines amounting to €59,400.
The Coordination Body for the Preparation and Monitoring of Inspection stated in a press release that the operation was conducted on 14 and 15 May at its initiative, with a special focus on the consistent implementation of legislation in the fields of labour, the tax system, sanitary and hygiene conditions, and traffic safety.
According to the press release, the operation involved tax inspectors, sanitary inspectors and labour inspectors, who jointly conducted a total of 63 inspections.
“During the inspections, 19 irregularities were identified, while 36 misdemeanor orders were issued, with total fines amounting to €59,400,” the press release reads.
The most significant irregularities included the lack of sanitary documents, failure by delivery workers to undergo mandatory health and sanitary examinations, failure to issue fiscal receipts, as well as violations related to labour relations and employee records.
“Particularly concerning are the shortcomings that may directly endanger public health and consumer rights, given the nature of the activity, which involves food distribution and daily contact with a large number of users,” the press release concluded.
