Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Employees of the Employment Office have formed the Independent Trade Union of the Employment Office, driven by the need for stronger, more transparent, and more direct representation of workers’ interests.

The organization will operate under the umbrella of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Montenegro (SSCG), with the primary mission of improving the socio-economic position and preserving the labour rights status of all employees.

Filip Majic was unanimously elected as the union’s president.

The newly formed organization stated that the Independent Trade Union of the Employment Office is not the result of divisions, but rather an expression of trade union pluralism and a desire for a more modern approach to union activity.

The focus will be placed on absolute transparency, accountability to its members, and more efficient participation in the creation of collective agreements.
