From July 24 till August 20, the financial police has directed 128 requests for legal proceedings against taxpayers on the territory of Podgorica who did not register their taxes through tax cash registers.
Head of financial police, Bojan Obrenovic said that beside taxpayers, the users of services, that is, guests were controlled, too.
"Controls are made by inspectors in civil clothes, who have official identification cards. The shops have been continuously visited, in two shifts, and some of the larger shops have been visited several times," said Obrenovic for Montena-business.
He said that control of registering the turnover through tax cash registers ascertained that bills with taxes were not given to buyers, or bills from old cash registers were given instead.
"In cases when it is ascertained that the taxpayer gives bills from old cash registers, the written directive on their removal from these shops is issued," said Obrenovic.
He added that introduction of tax cash registers was being realized in the field of trade, by dynamics set up by Directorate for public income and other competent organs.
