Ibrahimovic with Rutte: Montenegro remains pillar of stability in Western Balkans

Podgorica, (MINA) - Montenegro remains a credible ally and a pillar of stability in the Western Balkans, it was stated during a meeting between Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimovic and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

According to the press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), Ibrahimovic pointed out that Rutte’s visit is a strong confirmation of Montenegro’s credibility as a NATO member, whose strategic foreign policy priority is full alliance within NATO.

Rutte stated that Montenegro is a secure and stable country, which, as he stated, is of key importance to NATO.

“It was jointly assessed that Montenegro remains strongly committed to NATO goals, with the ambition to become the next EU member by 2028 through reform progress and regional leadership”, the press release states.
