Podgorica, (MINA) – As of Monday, a hotline for reporting threats, attacks and other forms of endangering the safety is available to journalists and media workers, the Media Trade Union (SMCG) announced.

Media workers can report threats by calling 080 000 222.

The SMCG said that the number is available 24/7, and was established within the framework of the Intersectoral Working Group for the establishment of a mechanism for the safety of journalists.

“Establishment of the hotline was initiated through the activities of SMCG, and realized with the support of the company Mtel, as a contribution to the strengthening of the system for the protection of journalists and other media workers in Montenegro”, says the press release.
