Podgorica, (MINA) - The Government of Montenegro has approved the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) launching a special recruitment procedure and announcing a public call for 500 position in the Police Administration in the rank of junior police officer, Deputy Prime Minister Aleksa Becic announced.
 
He said that the Government adopted the decision at Thursday session.
 
Becic pointed out that most of positions would be within the Border Police Sector, taking into account the needs, as well as the obligations related to Montenegro’s European path in the negotiation chapter 24.
 
He stated that along with continuous legislative improvements and new legal initiatives, the process of digitization and modernization of operations in continued, cleaning the security sector from all illegal influences in accordance with legal mechanisms, as well as motivating and supporting professionals within the system, addressing the inherited shortage of police personnel and continuing staff renewal by opening the door for young people and brining new energy.
 
“We are strengthening capacities, reinforcing institutions, building a clean, resilient and responsible security sector that serves exclusively the state of Montenegro and its citizens”, said Becic.
