Kolasin, (MINA-BUSINESS) – According to the Kolasin 1450 ski resort, the failure to extend permits for ski equipment rentals at ski centres while the season is still ongoing can be seen as a serious administrative barrier to the functioning of ski resorts on Mount Bjelasica.
PR and Marketing Advisor of Kolasin 1450 Dragana Becirovic stated that in a situation where there is snow, prepared slopes, and active ski infrastructure, restricting a basic service such as equipment rental directly affects the resort’s ability to operate.
“A large number of visitors come to Kolasin specifically for skiing, and a significant portion of them do not own their own equipment but rely on rentals within the ski center,” Becirovic said.
She added that such administrative restrictions do not affect only ski resort operators but also have a broader impact on the local economy.
“This is not just about one segment of business. If visitors cannot rent equipment, it directly affects the number of skiers on the slopes, and consequently the occupancy of private and hotel accommodation, hospitality services, and all supporting,” Becirovic explained.
