Expansion of the agenda to be proposed at the next session

Expansion of the agenda to be proposed at the next session

Cetinje, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Member of Parliament of the United Reform Action (URA), Milos Konatar will propose an expansion of the agenda at the next session on Friday to include proposals to increase all pensions by €40 and to pay compensation to workers of state-owned companies that have gone bankrupt.

At the first regular session of the spring sitting, held today in Cetinje, he withdrew the proposals to expand the agenda at the suggestion of the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Mirsad Nurkovic.

“As long as there is a need, I will continue proposing these laws, that is, until they are adopted, because I believe this addresses a major injustice,” said Konatar.

He proposed amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance and a Draft Law on Exercising the Right to Financial Support for persons who were employed in state-owned enterprises.

Konatar previously announced that all pensioners would receive the pensions increased by €40 starting from 1 April, and that no additional funds in the budget would be necessary for this increase, while severance payments for former employees of state-owned companies that went bankrupt would be paid in installments over the coming years.
