EPCG and EDF intensify partnership

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Elektroprivreda (EPCG) and Électricité de France (EDF) will intensify their partnership by defining concrete steps in the implementation of joint projects, with a particular focus on the Krusevo hydropower plant (HPP) project.
Chairman of the EPCG Board of Directors Milutin Djukanovic, Executive Director Zdravko Dragas, and Executive Head of the Development and Investment Section Ivan Mrvaljevic held a meeting with EDF’s Director for Europe Central Asia and the Middle East Laurent Paganon, and Vice President of EDF’s International Division Yann Guinard.
“They discussed topics, including the regulatory framework and support mechanisms, preparation of necessary studies, technical development of the project, as well as drafting a joint development agreement,” EPCG said in a press release.
They also discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of BESS systems and renewable energy projects, in line with EPCG’s investment plans.
The importance of coordination with relevant institutions and international financial partners was highlighted at the meeting, which confirmed mutual commitment to further strengthening the partnership and implementing strategic energy projects.
