Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Early indicators for the upcoming summer season are encouraging, Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordic and Montenegro’s Honorary Consul in Azerbaijan, Vugar Aliyev, agreed, highlighting intensified efforts to attract Azerbaijani tourists.

They discussed improving tourism cooperation between the two countries and current challenges in the tourism sector.

“It was noted that the number of flights to Montenegro has increased compared to last year, marking an important step in strengthening tourist traffic between the two countries,” the Ministry said in a press release.

During the meeting, it was concluded that the security situation in the Middle East is affecting tourism flows and prospects for both Montenegro and Azerbaijan.

In this context, the importance of finding the right balance in the given geopolitical circumstances and security challenges was emphasized, as these significantly influence the choice of tourist destinations. One of the key aspects highlighted was the need to maintain price stability in the tourism industry, so that Montenegro remains competitive in the international market.
