Podgorica, (MINA) – The declaration adopted by the Zeta Municipal Assembly on annulling the state decision to recognize Kosovo represents a step backwards in building Montenegro’s European future and an attempt to undermine good-neighbourly relations, Minister of Public Administration Marash Dukaj said.
In a X social network post, Dukaj said he is not surprised by the decision of the Zeta Municipal Assembly, adding that it was an attempt to assume authorities that does not belong to it.
“Without going into the constitutional and legal elements that deprive such a political act of any binding importance, this is an example of an attempt to assume authorities that belong to others and to undermine good-neighbourly relations that are a primary goal of our country”, Dukaj stated.
He concluded that this was “definitely and unfortunately a step backwards in building a European future”.
