Podgorica, (MINA) – Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) parliamentary group has submitted amendments to the Law on the Election of Councilors and MPs, proposing the introduction of open electoral lists.

The DPS announced that the proposal will be subject to a public hearing, which they will organize and invite the media, civil society, academia, competent independent institutions and other interested parties to submit suggestions for further amendments to the Law.

“In order to develop a proposal that reflects a comprehensively reformed umbrella electoral law through amendments to the law”, said the DPS.

The DPS parliamentary group also invited all opposition parliamentary groups to join the initiative.
