Podgorica, (MINA) – The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), the European Alliance (EA) and the Croatian Civic Initiative (HGI) have announced proposing a united platform for overcoming the political crisis and normalizing situation, which should serve as a basis for continuation of dialogue and restoring institutional and political trust.

In a joint press release, the parties recalled that opposition representatives participated in the meeting at the EU Delegation in Podgorica, organized at the initiative of Ambassador Johann Sattler, aimed at assessing the consequences of the political and institutional crisis that emerged following the adoption of the laws on internal affairs and the National Security Agency.

According to the press release issued following the meeting, opposition representatives assessed that the adopted laws had further deepened institutional mistrust and undermined the political dialogue, adding that the government is the only culprit, “which continuously strives to distance the opposition from participating in the dialogue”.

They add that the meeting agreed that the opposition would propose a united platform for overcoming the crisis and normalizing political situation, as a basis for continuation of the talks and establishing the necessary institutional and political trust.
