Podgorica, (MINA) – The Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) has urged the Podgorica High Court to revoke the decision ordering the detention of Blazo Saranovic and release him pending trial.

The party stated that Saranovic was remanded in custody due to the risk of influencing witnesses, which, as DPS stated, as in the case of Vesna Bratic, could be addressed by imposing a ban on contacting and meeting with witnesses.

“Any other decision would represent an obvious different approach in the similar legal matter which would result in direct discrimination of Saranovic and violation of his fundamental human rights”, the DPS stated.
