Podgorica, (MINA) – The resignation of Capital City Assembly Chair Jelena Borovinic Bojovic is an attempt to avoid her dismissal and a confirmation of the government’s plan to introduce forced administration in Podgorica, according to the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS).

The DPS Podgorica Committee said that the citizens of Podgorica are witnessing the complete breakdown of the ruling coalition which, as they stated, has been usurping positions in the local government for several months, despite lacking the majority required to make decisions.

According to them, the resignation of Borovinic Bojovic is a classic attempt to avoid dismissal.

“And the confirmation of what we continuously have been pointing out to – the interest of the government which is falling apart, as has already happened with the local one in Podgorica, is the forced administration, which was agreed in Milojko Spajic’s cabinet, for which the groundwork was laid for Borovinic Bojovic’s transfer to the Government”, the statement said.
