Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Digital transformation is an essential reform of the state, Minister of Public Administration Marash Dukaj said, adding that it marks the beginning of a system that operates quickly, transparently, and in the interest of citizens.

According to him, it means the end of slow and inefficient administration and the beginning of a system that works quickly, transparently, and in the interest of citizens.

“Our goal is a clear political decision – a state that serves its citizens, not the other way around,” Dukaj said at a meeting of the Coordination Body for the Digital Transformation Process in Podgorica.

The meeting, attended by representatives of relevant institutions and partners from the public and private sectors, reviewed progress in implementing key digital transformation activities, with a special focus on strengthening interinstitutional coordination and implementing the strategic goals of developing a digital society in Montenegro.

The Coordination Body adopted the Action Plan for the Digital Transformation Strategy for this year, confirming commitment to continuing and accelerating reforms in this area. 

Conclusions related to the improvement of the regulatory framework in the field of ICT activities and the tourism contribution were also discussed through an initiative that will be further formalized in cooperation between competent institutions and partners. 

It was concluded that the development of the digital economy requires a modern, stimulating, and predictable regulatory framework.
