Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Tax Administration (TA) announced that the deadline for submitting financial statements and corporate profit tax returns for the previous year has been extended until 24 April.
“Bearing in mind the efforts of the Tax Administration, in coordination with the contractor of the new information system, to ensure the smooth functioning of the electronic service for submitting tax returns and other documents through the IRMS portal, financial statements and corporate profit tax returns for the previous year submitted by 24 April will be considered as filed on time,” the tax authority said in a press release.
The Tax Administration stated that the postponement of the filing deadline does not affect the legally prescribed deadline for the payment of tax liabilities, which remains unchanged, and taxpayers are therefore required to settle their corporate profit tax obligations by 31 March.
“The new information system and the IRMS portal were launched on 12 January, and since then all services of the Tax Administration have been available for communication and for receiving information related to requests for the removal of technical obstacles, with the aim of ensuring a successful transition to IRMS, which will continue in the coming period,” the Tax Administration said.
