Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – Ulcinj Police, together with the Games of Chance Inspectorate, conducted inspections of hospitality establishments in Ulcinj aimed at tackling the unauthorized organization of games of chance, and filed criminal charges against one individual.

In a joint operation targeting illegal gambling activities, four hospitality establishments were inspected.

“In one of them, two gambling terminals were found, for which the owner of the establishment, K.K. (32), did not have the required approval from the competent authorities to carry out the activity,” the authorities said in a press release.

In another establishment, owned by H.K. (34), two such machines were also found, also without the necessary documentation.

The prosecutor at the Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Ulcinj was informed of the case and ordered that the machines be temporarily seized for further checks and appropriate expert examinations.

After reviewing the case files, the basic state prosecutor concluded that the actions of K.K. included elements of the criminal offense of unauthorized organization of games of chance, while a decision on the legal qualification regarding H.K. will be made after additional information is gathered and the case file is completed.
