Counterfeit goods worth EUR 180,000 seized in Kotor

Podgorica, (MINA) - In an operation carried out by the Customs Administration and the Market and Labor Inspection, a large amount of goods suspected of infringing intellectual property rights, with an estimated value of around EUR 180,000, was temporarily seized in Kotor on Saturday, the Government announced.
According to the press release, the activities were carried out within the operation of the Coordinating Body for harmonization and monitoring of inspection supervision, with the aim of suppressing the circulation of counterfeit products and protecting the legal market.
“Four facilities were inspected, and a total of eight misdemeanor orders were issued in the total amount of EUR 8,000”, the press release says.
The Government said that the Coordinating Body implemented a significant number of the activities aimed at strengthening inter-institutional cooperation and ensuring a more efficient response to the illegal trade and infringement of intellectual property rights.
