In mid-January, following a tender procedure conducted in accordance with the rules of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Monteput selected the consortium Power China–Stecol–PCCD as the contractor for the design and construction of the Matesevo–Andrijevica section.
Their bid amounts to nearly €694 million.
This route, about 23 kilometres long, will be financed partly from the state budget, as well as from an EBRD loan of €200 million and a European Union (EU) grant of €150 million.
The Bar–Boljare motorway is planned to have a total length of about 165 kilometres and is divided into several phases.
