Closer cooperation in tourism discussed

They believe, however, that there is potential for but there is potential for closer cooperation in the coming period.
It was concluded at today’s meeting that Montenegro, namely the National Tourism Organization and local tourist boards, participate every year in the Tourism Fair in Novi Sad, where there is great interest in the country as a tourist destination.
Kordic noted that guests from Serbia account for 18 percent of the total number of tourists in Montenegro, confirming continuous and strong cooperation, as well as the successful promotion of Montenegro’s tourism in Serbia.
The possibility of renewing the promotion of the Mimosa Festival in Novi Sad was also discussed as a way to further link Herceg Novi and the Bay of Kotor with Novi Sad and Vojvodina, and strengthen cultural and tourism ties.
“They also discussed the possibility of presenting Vojvodina’s tourism products in Podgorica and along the Montenegrin coast, as well as linking the two tourism sectors, particularly in wine and rural tourism,” the Ministry of Tourism said in a press release.
