CBCG discusses protection of consumers’ financial rights with media

Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – CBCG organized a working breakfast for media representatives dedicated to the implementation of the new Law on Consumer Credits and the improvement of the protection of consumers’ financial rights.

 

Ahead of World Consumer Rights Day – 15 March, the Central Bank met with media representatives to discuss the importance of new legislation for consumers, as well as the competencies and activities of the Central Bank in this area. 

 

The discussion with the media was led by CBCG Vice Governor Gordana Kalezic together with her team.

“During the meeting, key provisions of the new regulatory framework were presented, with particular emphasis on improving the protection of users of financial services, increasing the transparency of credit products and strengthening trust in the financial system,” the CBCG said in a press release.

 

The working breakfast was an opportunity for an open and constructive discussion on the importance of informing citizens about their rights and obligations when using financial services, as well as on the role of institutions in building a fairer, more responsible, and more transparent financial system.
