Podgorica, (MINA-BUSINESS) – The Governor of the Central Bank (CBCG), Irena Radovic, presented today the CBCG Annual Awards for the best academic papers in the fields of banking, monetary policy, and theory.
The award ceremony was held ahead of 11 April, the CBCG Day.
“The prize for the best graduate thesis was awarded to Milica Uskokovic for the paper ‘Circular Economy and Sustainable Finance in Montenegro: The Role of Banks’, while awards for the best master’s theses were presented to Aleksandar Kankaras for the paper ‘Analysis of the Stability of Montenegro’s Banking System in the Context of Bankruptcy Levels and Prudential Indicators’, and to Jelena Popovic for the paper ‘ESG Practices in the Montenegrin Banking Sector: Analysis of Client Perceptions and Expectations’,” CBCG said in a press release.
In addition to plaques, the winners also received monetary prizes from a fund amounting to €3,000 for the best graduate thesis and €4,000 for the best master’s thesis.
Speaking about the importance of the award, Radovic noted that the CBCG not only rewards academic excellence but also strongly supports knowledge, research, and young people as key drivers of a modern and resilient society.
he CBCG Annual Award was established in 2007 with the aim of encouraging scientific thought and promoting young experts in Montenegro.
